A much misrepresented county with uncalled for sniggering and silliness. It has as much if not more beauty and history than anywhere else on these Islands. The coast is evocative and remote acting as home to a varied array of wildlife especially migrating waders. Essex has been a gateway to the persecuted and dispossessed for centuries adding to the cultural mix of the population. Being so close to London east enders were able to enjoy the clean air and open vistas of this wonderful county. Not a white stiletto in site!
